My trailer (a no-name brand) is single axle. It currently has Patriot Supreme 115R12 tires that have dry rot. I look at trailer tires that have sizes such as 4.80x8B and 20.5x8x10C. How do these kinds of numbers reconcile with what's on my trailer? I waant to replace but I don't speak the language. My AMF Crestliner weighs 875 lbs; no idea what the trailer weighs.

That would be a 12 inch rim.
If you have a Northern Tool near you they can match up a tire.
I never heard of a 115 size tire but they will get it real close.

Re: Translating trailer tire sizes

Since there is no 115R12 tire, I'm betting the OP just mistyped the size, which is probably 155R12...something like found on a Ford Festiva. The last owner just found a set of cheap car tires and slapped them on the trailer.

And I'd be willing to bet the correct size is either the aforementioned 4.80-12 or 5.30-12 tires.

Re: Translating trailer tire sizes

Cannondale is correct. I incorrectly typed 115R12 instead of 155R12. I think the load rating is B, but that's because it's a small car tire.

Thanks for the help in translating the sizes, everyone.
