Now that the pontoon project is nearly finished and the boat is in the water, I am about to turn my attention to the other project. I picked up (for free) a 14' aluminium runabout and put my 30 'rude on it. Now here's the thing. It's a '55 or '56 pre-Mirrocraft (formerly known as Aluminium Goods Mfg.) in decent condition. It's only missing the windshield. What I want is a small fishing boat. The covered bow takes up a third of the length. Steering wheel placement makes it right for a side console style.
What makes the decision hard is that I am having a very difficult time getting any info or value on the boat. Would you convert this boat to a nice little fishing boat with a live well and set up for 2, or leave this rare boat the way it is?
