The instructions say to mount the transducer 1/8" at the low end which means the other end is even lower than that. I have two transducers on my boat one was broke when I bought it last year and the other just broke the other day. I was walking around the marina and noticed that some people have them mounted flush and some people have them below the boat. I noticed with my working one that I would have to adjust it down for it to work while at high speed. I don't know if I remount it flush whether if would work. I run my boat on the Delaware and when the last one broke it didn't seem like I hit anything I was in the channel but I guess there could have been a piece of wood, If it was it was not on the surface.
Any suggestions on mounting would be appreciated. I posted this link before and would like opinions on whether you think this would work. Am I being paranoid or do other people have problems with broken transducers.
I was looking at the T1.
