My trailor has 4 pins and my van has 6 pins which is also used for a camper. How do I hook this up without cutting into the vans 6 pin harness? And if anyone knows where to get any products I need, that would be helpfull too.
Thanks guys!

Howdy, TLW.

Try the automotive section at Wal Mart. They have adaptors.

Moving this to Trailers.

Good luck. :)

Kmart has the same brand adapter at the same price($10). The boating supply stores are about $3 cheaper.

Yea totalivewire, they will look like the plug on your camper, but will just have 4 holes for your boat trailer to plug into.
I changed mine on my boat trailer to a six pin and it comes in pretty handy.
The one pole in there is hot all the time you have it plugged in and I use it to keep my batteries charged up while going back and forth to the fishing holes.

Re: trailor harness

totalivewire, my bass boat is set up to charge from the trolling motor plug up front, and all I did was get me another plug like's on the trolling motor and wire the hot wire from it to my plug on the boat trailer and when I go somewhere and plug the boat trailer up to my truck, then I have the option of charging the batteries or not.
It comes in handy when you are traveling and you don't have a place to plug in your charger.
Just plug the plug into the trolling motor hole and charge away while you drive.
Works for me. :D
