I have a 1998 Venture single axle trailer and was planning to take my 19ft Wellcraft on vacation with me this summer from New Jersey to North Carolina. The first thing that worries me is that my total dry weight of the boat, motor, etc is just about the total max rating of my trailer. Has anyone had experiences trailing a long distance and have any advice. I was thinking about trying to rent a dual axle trailer but I am having a hard time finding someone to rent for an out-of-state trip.
