We have just acquired a 24' Harris float boat located on Greers Ferry Lake in Ark. We are now on the hunt for a trailer in order to pull the boat to our home in East Tn. We will be putting the boat on Watauga Lake. We are not experienced boaters and have no idea how to go about finding a trailer. The only inquiries that we have made say that we are going to be spending a lot of money to buy a new one. Can used trailers be found? Who should we contact? What kind of price are we looking at?<br /><br />Thanks for any advice available.

Shorelander, EZ Loader and a host of other manufacturers can fix you up with a trailer. Find a boat dealer that sold your model boat. They can tell you exactly what you need. Trailers are not nearly as expensive as you might think. Like everything else, it pays to shop.

you need to decide if you want a bunk trailer (float on type) or a sissor trailer for the poontoon boat. is the boat going to be stored on the trailer on in the water. what are the ramps like where you are going to be launching. suggest googling poontoon boat trailers. it's very interesting. also when you decide what you want, there are many available on ebay, new and used.
