Trailer Work

What's the best Do-It-Yourself way to prepare a trailer for painting, besides sandblasting? I can get to and do most of the trailer, but what about inside the C-channel frame? Hand sanding? Any little tips from you pros would be appriciated.

If at all possible, I'd go with sand blasting. If the trailer has any rust, it won't go away with only sanding. I had same situation and went with sand blast & professional prime and paint. It held up quite well in fresh water. Got to Florida and the trailer self-destructed.
