I am having a little trouble...
I rewrired my trailer. 1 amber light on the side of the trailer does not work. This is only on one side and is an indicator (turn signal). All other lights work properly, including tail lights, turn signals, etc. An y ideas?

Re: trailer wiring trouble

Since it is only one light and the other side works swap the wires and put the power from the good side to the bad and the same on the other side. This will determine if there is good power in the line. Check the bulb and check the ground connection. Lighting gremlins are normally ground connection or even the bulb is not making proper contact within it's socket.

When doing any trailer work, I highly recommend having a test light... make sure you have good ground & start probing your wires. Side amber lights are notorious for loosing ground. Just not sealed & do not drain as well as Turn Signal in the rear. Relatively inexpensive to replace... check mounting/ground.

Good Luck

As others have suggested get a test light if you don't already have one. Poor connections and bad grounds are notourious on trailers. A test light or multimeter is well worth the money.
