I had my trailer sand blasted and primed about 14-15 years ago. I then sprayed it with Glidden Rustmaster. It has held up great except for the normal dings, scrapes, scratches.

I would now like to touch up those. I plan to wire-brush to remove any spot rust. Now comes decision time. I have used Rustoleum aluminum paint in the past, both as a top-coat and a primer. It is so thin, I have never seen anything penetrate like it does. I've also noticed the utility industry and trucking industry use it quite a bit.

In everyone's opinion, would this be the correct path prior to spot-painting? BTW, fresh water only.

Re: Trailer Touch-up

treat the rust spots with some navel jelly and then wash it down with vinegar solution or some petrol. Should be good to go then.
