I have a 1991 16 ' Dynatrak bass boat setting on a 1991 Jeff Hustler trailer. I am new to owning a boat and I had to do a lot of work on it. I replaced the tires about a month ago with new tires and wheels from Northern Tool Co. When you look at the boat from the rear it looks as though the tires are kicked outwards at the bottom. Tires seem to be wearing evenly. What could be the cause of this?

Measure top to top and bottom to bottom of the tires, rev. Let us know what you get.

A small amount of camber is normal because it helps the trailer track correctly, but too much may cause uneven tire wear.

Too much camber is usually caused by a bent axle from overloading or too much speed over bumps.

Go to a large, level parking lot. Stand well back from the trailer so you can see the axle. If it's bowed down in the middle, either the trailer is overloaded or the axle is bent. Cambered axles should have a slight upward, not downward bow to them.
