My leaf springs are the double eye type, that are not fully closed at the
end like the letter "C", can I use the double eye leaf spring that are
fully closed like the letter "O"?

Where is the best place to buy them?

tgodiver,
Been there, done that. :D Sure,if you can find a set of the correct measurment between eye's. Measure carefully between eye(or bolt)centers.Using the same spring type as original is preferred but closed eye's are ok as long as you get the correct capacity.Take a look at NorthernTool.com.Be careful selecting springs, most are rated(weight capacity) as pairs(2),instead of each.Good luck. :)

Howdy, TGD.

The open eyes are to allow the spring to change length as it flexes. That way you wouldn't need shackles between the spring and frame.

If you bolted closed eye springs rigid to the frame (without a shackle at one end) you would have broken springs pretty soon.

Good luck. :)

As to a place to buy, Champion Trailers seems to be a popular site in this forum
