Be kind, what I know about trailers wouldn't fill a thimble! You put your boat on it, haul it to the lake...grease the wheel bearings..

I have a little dude trailer under my 13 1/2 foot Glasspar G3. Took the boat out today when I came back trailer is sitting at an angle..tilted to starboard. A closer examination showed a broken leaf spring...

My question is..now what????

I 'think' Little Dude is out of business..??

Help...

Springs are probably one of the easiest things to find as well as replace on a trailer, there are many spring companies in business,

Just measure eye to eye on the spring, measure width of the spring, call a local trailer place, tell them what you got, how much your carrying and they will be able to recommend a new spring for you.

I would advise you to change both of them, if one broke, the other may not be far behind, springs are cheap and the peace of mind is price less.

I can assure you, the trailer company did not make their own springs, the simply purchased them from a spring manufacture..as most companies do.

You don't have to put "Little Dude" springs on it, just because it is a "Little Dude" trailer.

Good luck, it is a really easy fix, by the way, get new bushings and bolts as well. If need be, jack the trailer up on blocks, remove the current springs, take them to a spring shop and they can match them up for you, the most important thing, is make sure you get the axle lined up properly when you put it back together.

Remove the leaf spring, take it to Northern Tool or similar place to buy a replacement spring, go back and put it on. If your spring bolts are rusty then get some new bolts/nuts/washers while you're there. You can jack up the trailer with the boat on it, do the job with trailer hooked to your tow vehicle to keep it steady and not roll off jack. Good Luck!

Measure the length of the spring eye to eye, note the number of leafs, along with the thickness and width. Not knowing where you are located, I'd look in the yellow pages in your area for a spring shop and call them. If you're not sure about measuring the spring then find the spring shop, call them and bring the entire trailer to them....
Welcome aboard..!!

Bad news...so far unable to locate a spring set for this one... Only recourse is to use something close and modify the mounts. More $$.. it's been an expensive boating season this year...
