Trailer Lights & GMC Envoy

[BULLWARKS]

7 pin (Round) on Vehicle 5 pin straight on Load Rite trailer.<br /><br />Signals work, running and Brake lights do not.<br /><br />5 pin connector has 4 pins and what looks like a female on BOTH the adapter and the Trailer connectors???<br /><br />Can anyone tell me how to identify the problem?

Who wired the trailer, when?<br /><br />Sounds like they put a vehicle connector on the trailer harness.

You need to buy the seven pin to 5 pin adapter.

Trailer new. Think the Adapter is the problem. It's not new and the thing has 4 female pins and looks like the recessed pin that should be male to insert into the trailer female has broken off.<br /><br />Going back to dealer!!!
