Trailer Lighting Over/Under 80"

While reading various boating catalogues I notice that trailer lights are sold for both trailers over 80 inches and those under 80 inches. Would anyone what the difference in lighting is???

The wider trailers require a middle markerlamp assy. As viewed from the rear.

Wide vehicle marker lights are the 3 lights in the center of wider vehicles. They can be seen on any tractor-trailer, or a dually pick-up.
