i have a 1962 17 foot aristo craft on a 1990 17foot high lander tilt tailer .it has like four 5" rollers and two short bunk boards the rollers are flat with a little ridge on the sides but i need to change them because it sat for about 11 years.there is a sunk in spot on one and a couple others dont turn well .the boat has a about a 1" or 1 1/2"keel on the bottom the guy i got it from did not have it set up for the boat he bought it like it was and took it home and just put the trailer on it.what would be the best rollers to put on it o i also have trouble loading it because the sides of the boat are right out even with fenders i dont think the flat rollers are right for it.    i work at boaters world so i can get any rollers with a discount but cant deside what i need for it today i looked at a 8" roller with a grove in it for the keel but im still lost

If it had 5" ones on it before, it should be OK to replace with the same size.<br />How heavy is the boat? Fiberglass or aluminum?

Re: trailer keel roller question help help

it is fiberglass where i work has a 5"keel roller v roller but the groove in the middle is very small like 3/8" wide but i think that is for a deep v like a bay liner or a ski boat i was thinking about it because with the spool roller it all ways goes off center even when i tilt the trailer and winch it all the way up the trailer but if the spool rollers is all that will work thats what i will have to use the keel i was talking about comes off the bottom about 1"and its about 1"wide starts as the bow then turns into the keel on the bottom and ends about a 1'from the transom it is 17'fiberglass 1962 aristocraft
