Trailer info

I bought a used boat. It is my first one and I towed it about 155 miles over a very large mountain. The trailer it sits on seems to go just fine. It is a 24 foot flybridge and I am unsure of the weight. So on to my questions...
1. The trailer is rusty but seems sound. What do you do to restore it some sort of former glory?
2. The trailer has some sort of brake system. There are a few things on the toungue that leads me to believe this, how do I tell for sure?
3. Trailer lights had 3 leads. I get good brake lights and right blinker. No running lights, left blinker flashes hazards. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Trailer info

Hi, Ron.

1. Sandblast and paint.

2. It must have brakes and you must have them active. Your 25' flybridge must weigh beyond any states brake law.

3. Rewire your vehicle and your trailer for at least a 5-wire system.

You can get a lot of help from www.championtrailers.com

Good luck. :)
