trailer hubs

I have a 1976 trailer for a 24 ft searay. Moved boat today and the wheels sound terrible. Jacked up one side and spun tires. Tried wiggle from side to side and have at least 1/4 inch of play on both wheels. I would imagine the other side is the same way.I have never done hubs before..Any advice would be appreciated
