Hello,

I am not pleased with the current configuration of my trailer, as the bunks are scraping the lapstrake joints. The trailer seems to be an odd configuration, based on what I have read. It has an H-shaped wobble roller assembly on each side of the back, keel rollers up the middle, and bunks on the side. It's +very+ easy to land the boat on it although the bunks somewhat get in the way during the loading process. My thoughts are that the bunks are too high - the boat seems to sit on them more than it sits on the keel rollers. Every keel-roller configuration I have looked at has the bunks set off to the side, not really touching the boat. On mine, the boat somewhat sits on them, which is doing not-so-nice things to the lapstrakes in the contact area. However, due to my inexperience, I have this paranoia that the boat is going to just "fall over" if I lower the bunks. It doesn't seem rational to me, as I suspect the rear wobble rollers (which are quite secure against the flat part of the bottom at the rear 1/3rd of the boat) will hold the boat upright, but I'd just like a second opinion before I splat my boat onto the road.

Thanks,
-E
