Hi All,

I was wondering if I could use regular carpet from home depot to cover the 2x4's or should I use a specialized carpet for this purpose. I saw some bunk carpet that bass pro sells but it looks like its a regular carpet with a rubber coating on the inside...

Which should I use?
Thanks

Re: Trailer Bunks Carpet

Any outdoor carpet works. Home Depot and Lowes sell it as do most big hardware stores. I found mine in 6 foot width for $5 a running foot. Needed two feet.

Don't cover the bottom side of the bunk, the part that bolts to the trailer. You want to leave it exposed so air can circulate and help dry the carpet.
