TPS 98 efi

trying to get away from buying the test harness for this, im thinking you could unplug the connector take and cut a couple strands put them in the tps connector leaving 3''or so protruding out of plug to hook meter to reconnect the harness connect meter and set, kinda a backwoods approach?

I'll hear some flack about this,But instead of stripping the wire use a couple of straight pins through the wires.Put a little sealer over the holes when your done.
