Torsion Axles

I'm considering a torsion axle for a trailer I am about to start building. Has anyone had experience with them and do you know any sources for a 3500# capacity galvanized torsion axle? I will be putting a 19' boat on the trailer and will be using it almost exclusively in salt water. Thanks!<br />Fishcamp

Wise choice. Torsion axles are by far superieor. No axle toeing, less moving parts, inpendendent action, etc. Go with a stainless steel disc. http://www.greatlakestrailers.com/

I put on new Axles on my 28 FT rv and i went with the Torsion Axles, and i love them, Much much smoother ride and just all around much better and less maintenance. Dexter Axles are one of the largest manufactures of torsion axels. you can do a search for them on the internet, or just about any trailer supply shop can order them.
