Had my left knee scoped 9 yrs. ago for a torn meniscus, it went very well and the knee felt like brand new 3 weeks later.

Had an MRI done on the same knee earlier this week and found out I've torn it again.

Has anyone else had their knee scoped a second time for this, a third time?

I know this is a common injury for tradesmen and other folks, just wondering how common it is to have it done more than once.

btw, I look forward to the surgery so I can start the healing process.

Hang in there.

I had both knees totally replaced this year.

Does it hurt? YES However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel :) I am getting better and the secret is...... I am doing the exercises that I have been assigned and they help. So, if you get surgery I will also push for Physical Therapy. At first I called them the Physical Terrorists then I understood their real purpose.

PT is the secret to the healing.

Good luck.

It would've been nice if that's how it happened FCB, but instead it was climbing up and down a 3 buck high scaffold for a week when I was recaulking my second story windows.

Well, they cut and scoped me today and I just hope it turns out as well as it did last time.

All the nurses and doctors were very nice and that helps a lot.

It's a relief to know I can start the healing process now instead of the old knee bone staying the same or getting worse.

The 2 worst thing about this surgery was/is not being ables to eat or drink anything 12 hrs. before the surgery and not being able to bathe for 48 hrs. after. I'm not obsessive compulsive about staying clean or getting dirty, but dammit man I have to have a shower every day to feel human!

I have had multiple scopes on both knees, had my left one replaced and getting ready to have the right one replaced. The worst part fo rme was not being able to do things that i want when i wanted until i had healed. Then it was like brand new, no pain, no hurt, the major issue i have now is not being able to squat. I stand, or sit, but i cannot sqaut, the knees just wont bend due to the scar tissue from hurting it so many times.

While you are recovering, go fish, tell everyone it is part of your therapy.
