that work great, do i wire up a ampmeter the same way jim<br /><br />( 1977 70hp evinrude outboard )

Because ammeters measure current flow, you should connect the ammeter in series with one wire of a particular circuit that you want to monitor.<br />If you want to monitor current flow in or out of your battery, for example, connect it in series with one of the battery leads.

Just be sure to size the ammeter for the maximum current to be read or you will peg the meter. ie if you know your full load amps will be 9 amps or less then use a meter rated for 10amps.<br /><br />SingleShot
