Top Speed for Four Winns with 5.0 L and OMC drive?

I have a 1988 215 Four Winns Sundowner cuddy with a 5.0 L chevy motor and a OMC outdrive. I was wondering what people are getting for top speeds on that boat and what they are running for props. I currently have a 4 blade on it but am not sure of the pitch.

Assuming 190-220hp so speeds inthe low to mid 40's would be normal.

What props others are running? probably going to get you half as many different answers as there are members on this board. If you are looking for a new prop for your boat you need to provide the following information(and post it in the prop forum) Current WOT(exact, "ish", "or so" and "approximately" are not acceptable. Current top speed using GPS if possible. Current prop details (number of blades, material, pitch, diameter, condition). What are you hoping to accomplish?

Did you sort the propsize out?
I have a 215 with 5.7 OMC, running 19" but only reach 36 knots/ 41 mph at 4000 rpm. Maybe a motorproblem. What prop size did you ended up with? and what top speed?

Your rpms are low. Assuming well tuned engine, you'd be overpropped.

my bayliner has the 5.0 omc in it. I get about 42 WOT with no gear and 2 people in it. it likes to cruise around 25-30, which works fine for what we do.

I have a 85 21' wellcraft cuddy that is proably similiar to your weight boat. I am running a 3 blade 21p (I think I will check) prop and I can cruise about 25-30 all day long and top speed is 47 (GPS).
