Well, I don't pay too much attention to years but Merc did start changing from pointed Chrysler covers to square-front covers around 1989. If both are the square front type like those in the photos, then yes, it will fit. Personally, I prefer the Chrysler type covers. They do take less room in the splashwell and to my eyes simply look better.
