Good for you. The maiden voyage, I mean. I am working on my trailer and am putting guids and the screen-type walkway you can bolt on. I saw some diamond cut steel when I went to pick up some square tubing. That and a rubbery coat of that stuff put on some tools might work.

Anyway. Stay dry!

Can't see too well cuz when I took this pic it was snowing out, but I have a plank bolted to the trailer frame that runs from the winch all the way to the back of the trailer. I have never needed to walk that far, but I could. I am a big guy too.......no issues.

A piece of angled steel is bolted to the frame, the plank is bolted to that.

How's the water on the other coast??? It's pretty nice over here, been wakeboarding a couple of times, and plan to dive a couple of wrecks this weekend if the wind will die down a bit. Congrats on the fine running Merc!!!

the water was very pleasant for this time of year. 40 years ago i spent my summers in St.Pete, and Bradenton uncle was professor at St,Pete Jr. College. when riding a motor Scooter one day, a senior lady bumped me. got out of her car and said "well! what were you doing there" got in her car and left. luckily just a scraped elbow. (we called it the Town of the Living Dead) but beautiful beaches.

You'd be surprised to see St Pete these days. The whole town has undergone a renniassance, downtown is funky shops and unique restaurants, homes on the water start at 2 million. The median age in St Pete is now 40.2; 10 years ago it was 66! I've lived here for 5 years and it is way different from even then.

I live near Coquina Key, and there is a boat ramp 2 blocks from home!
