There's about 2 gals of 50:1 gas:eek:il left in a 6 gal tank I used for a small outboard, but I would like to use the tank for the Johnson 90 which has oil injection. Is there any harm in using up this gas/oil mix in the Johnson, knowing that I am running too much oil for a short time?

No, but just don't make a habit of it. It may load up while idling.

Remember break-in, Doug?

They had you use a couple of tanks of 50:1 in addition to the injected oil.

Might be a little extra smoke, but no problem.

.....and it won't be 50:1 when you add the other 4 gallons of clear fuel.

Why not add 4 gallons of unmixed gas with the mixed and then run through engine. that would further increase the ratio of gas to oil? that may be what you had planned to do anyway.
