I fished Milford reservoir (16,000 acre) here in Midwest Kansas last week. This lake has been know for a good walleye population the last 5 years and has hosted a couple major walleye tournaments. We found it totally overrun with shad. Im talking so many shad that the entire lake is covered with gulls. We would mark giant pods all over the place. Though we did have fun with big wipers, walleye fishing was very tough. Curious if the shad will thin out over the winter or is that lake doomed to be over flowing with shad for years to come. Great for the fish I guess
Tough on the fishermen. Anyone experience this?
