I want to put a tongue jack on my single axle boat trailer. Boat & motor weighs about 1500 lbs. What size jack will I need? 600, 800, 1000, or 1500 lbs?

thanks

The 600 lb. will be fine. But I always recommend a little overkill. Probably for just a few dollars more you can get the 800 or 1000.

Peter O,

The higher capacity jacks; 800, 1000, etc. are usually the same jack with a higher quality wheel.

Compare the wheels on the 600 and 800. The larger the wheel, the easier it will roll. Also, the plastic wheels have a tendency to break, especially in cold weather.
