Tom Selleck Interview

I watched a local interview of Tom Selleck.<br /><br />What a breath of fresh air. A departure from typical Hollywood politics.<br /><br />In essence he stated that his opinions are his and his alone. Plus, he does not think it is his place to state his opinions while on someone elses nickel. In other words, if he's promoting a movie/show that someone else funded, he keeps his opinions to himself. He harbors no secrets, yet there is a proper time and a place.<br /><br />Also, he stated that he is tired of anyone having another idea outside the "status quo" shouted down and called an extremist.<br /><br />He said.<br /><br />"Our founding fathers would be uniquely unqalified, in many peoples opinion today, to run for office." 'That should be a wake up call".

He is one of my favorite actors and has been since magnum PI days. But I like his westerns best. This only moves him up a notch for me.

I like all of them Hollywood types that smoke them cigars, Tom, Arnold, Demi ...<br /> :D <br /><br />Enjoying a fine Churchill-sized Ashton at this very moment, myself. Of course, woman has me enjoying it in the garage. Thank the powers that be for wireless web surfing.<br /> :)

He'a pretty sharp cookie. He got blind-sided at an interview with one of those fat hags, Ricci Lake or Rosie... I can't remember which, but he handled himself extremely well there also. I wish all the hollywood folks followed his "keep your opions to yourself" policy.<br /><br />He's welcome on my boat, anyday.<br /><br /><br />spots

Selleck is a rarity in Hollywood: someone with convictions and a genuine identity.

If he's the guy who starred in cheers, I never really liked his acting style. I think he's a tv actor, and not suited for the big screen. But if he's the type of guy that speaks his mind and uses common sense, (rejecting the holywood status quo) then as a person he's on the "A" list in my book.

Oh! Uh, guess I can't wiggle my way out of this one! But in my defense, I didn't and and still don't watch much tv or movies. I grew up without a tv, and I'm glad! I spent a lot of time outdoors while everyone else was watching speedracer and scoobydo.

I didn't see that but heard about it the next day.<br />Seems they were supposed to talk about a book or project he was working on at the time and instead she side swipped him on national TV for being a member of the NRA!<br />He is a class act in my book.
