Anyone know right off what the hole size requirement is for a Tohatsu tach 3AD726400M?

My luck being what it is, I'd measrure the one I plan on using when it's in my hand.

So if I drill a 4" hole, that will give the tach something to fall through, right?

4' is pretty much a standard size size for the face. The hole from Tohatsu is;

Fits a standard 3.375 inch (85mm) instrument dash hole which makes this tachometer the perfect drop-in replacement for your current tachometer.

I'm smart enough to know the hole has to be smaller, as was Geezer1. :smile:

I assumed, shouldn't do that.

Thx for the info, GA Boater. I did know that the tach has a 4" face diameter, but I couldn't find the specific installation hole size. I'm actually replacing a 3.75" diameter tach that I installed sometime back, and which required a 3.375 hole. So I should be good to go. Wherever did you find that information, I've been looking for days.

Thanks for the help guys. I started missing more than my fair share when I turned 70. Hmmm... not good.
