tohatsu tacho wiring

Hi,

I have a tohatsu 20 hp tiller 2014 , and bought a tohatsu tacho [FONT=&quot]3AC726400M [/FONT]new model with oil lamp. the tacho has 6 wires as follows

blue - black for night illumination

white - yellow for tacho (through factory harness)

green and red. what are these for. are these applicable for the tiller or are they for the remote type.

2.Does this tacho need battery voltage.

Yes, the tach needs power and ground. Red is 12v switched power. Full color wiring diagrams are in the Factory service manual.
