Tohatsu service/parts

I want to buy a Tohatsu 20hp 4 stroke. Looking ahead, I don't have a dealer close by for service or repair work. However, there are several Mercury shops close. Since Tohatsu makes the small mercury motors, would the mercury shop be a viable option for parts and service for the Tohatsu 20hp motor?

I haven't checked yet, but I'd assume the Tohatsu parts would be available online?

That is all true. Merc dealers will not be able to cover warranty work, however. Check the dealer locator on the Tohatsu website to locate your nearest dealers.

Yeah, I di d check the dealer locator. Closest one is 50 miles. I'll pass 4 mercury dealers to get there! That's why I was asking. Thx
