Tohatsu or Mercury ??

My dad picked up a 1989 Mercury 5hp 2 stroke and was trying to find a manual for it, We already have the Seloc manual but would like a better one..

Is this motor made by Mercury or Tohatsu??

I believe Tohatsu makes 'em for Merc

That may be a Tohatsu, but it probably is not due to the age. As I remember it Tohatsu took over production around 92.
