I have a tohatsu 9.9, which had been running a little rough. So I went to clean the carb, and found the main nozzle with a snapped head. I've checked around and being that the motor is 25 yrs old, the part is discontinued...and no one has it locally (San Diego).
I'm not opposed to spending a couple hundred bucks on new carb, but don't know what carb to get? And ideas on what new/referb carb would fit this motor, and/or what mods I'd have to do. Thanks

You will be searching salvage yards, unfortunately. As an alternative, remove what you can, and do a proper carb soak, to see what happens.

No new carbs will fit it.

So I cleaned the carb up, placed the broken main nozzle back in, which stays put with the main jet holding it in place. Fired up second pull aunset runs great. Hope it gets me through the summer...
Thanks.
