I have a 2000 M70C. The ignition coil listed for my motor is 3f3-06040-0. That coil is no longer made. The parts book also list coil 3C7-06040-0 but my motors serial number doesn’t fall in the serial number range for motors that use that coil. Will this coil work on my motor? The wire connections look the same. The only visual difference I see is the control wires come in from the bottom of the coil on mine and the other coils comes in from the top. does anyone know of an alternative I can use? Only other option is to by used but I’m not a fan of using a used part in the rough currents I fish and having to risk getting stuck on the water.
