Tohatsu M70A2 70hp fitting a speedo

Help<br /><br />I have a Tohatsu M70A2 70hp (old Engine) but she runs like the wind. I also have a Speedo that is fit to the Transom and a Sender unit (works off a Vacume, I Think) but I have been told The Tohatsu has a opening in the Gearbox made for this Speedo Tube. I can't find one in mine anybody give me a tip. as I keep Smashing the Sender off my Transom. At £25 a time its getting silly.<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />P@ul...

There is no speedo pickup in the 70 A model.
