I need to replace check valve and cap for the lubrication recirculation on my 55HP Tohatsu (1985) The parts diagram shows only the cap and check valve but when looking up the part # it gives new numbers and notes that 2 additional parts are needed - gaskets. Since the parts diagram does not show the gaskets I'm wondering in what order gaskets and valve are installed. Naturally the cap is last and on the outside. check valve.jpg Any help appreciated.

Never mind, I found it. For anyone else that may wonder the diagrams for newer motors show the gaskets and the older motors don't. Gasket B goes next to the motor block, then the check valve, next gasket A ( with the large hole) and last the cap. Judging from the condition of the used pieces on my motor, I believe the gaskets were added to keep heat from the motor melting and burning up this part as mine were pretty crispy with the top cap having holes burnt right through. These parts are still available from Tohatsu because they also fit newer motors.
