I need to replace the tilt/trim motor on my 50 HP Tohatsu M50D. Is this done by dropping the cylinder foreward, or by pulling the outboard off and removing the trim motor from behind. Any suggestions would be welcome. The outboard is stuck in the up position on a pontoon boat. I have pretty much determined by testing that it is a locked trim motor.
Thanks for any help, this look's like a great forum site.

Mike

Tilt the engine up and remove the three screws that hold the trim motor on....That's it.

That sounds easy enough. I wasn't so sure I could get at the bolt in the far left corner.
