Tohatsu dependability verses honda

Hi Folks how do the tahatsu outboards stack up to the honda For the price and warrenty 3 on tohatsu verses 5 on the honda the actual price is about the same.I am looking at a 4 hp.

Durability is fine on both. The Tohatsu 4 will accept either onboard fuel or remote tank, which is a nice feature.

The Honda five is the oldest engine in the Honda line up. It is a little oldfashioned by todays standards. But, there is nothing wrong with it. It is a hair more powerful than the Tohatsu 4...But, it's not as powerful as the Tohatsu 5. Shakes about the same though.

X2 that the internal tank option is worth consideration. I have one in my 92' 5 hp Tohatsu, and my 98' 4hp Evenrude and 76' 2hp Evinrude. All will run for hours without refueling. Really saves room and weight in a small boat.
