I took apart my carb and cleaned it up and everything seemed fine, just some varnish in the bowl. I also cleaned the fuel filter. I did not mess with the needle valve. It didnt run good before, and now it seems like if I dont have it choked or at full throttle it dies. Any ideas? Do I just need a carb kit? Also there are two adjustment screws on the carb. I know the one on the side adjusts the throttle itself, what does the one on top do?

Re: tohatsu carberuator

You cannot solve gummed jets and orifices by cleaning the bowl, TD.

Get a Manual. Tear the carb down and clear every tiny passage.

When you have the low speed circuit clear she will be back to humming like new.

Good luck. :)
