About how long can you run a tohatsu prop up and out of the water at low rpm? I'm hoping 9-10 seconds. That would be enough time to drop 2 or 3 carp on to the prop.

Carp??? I don't know. But, I wonder if we could use one as an ice cream churn? That would be very rice wouldn't it? :D

...And I thought I was messed up in the head. But hey, I like the idea, I will have to try dropping a fish on the prop. It's one of those things you just have to try once to satisfy your curiousity.

You can run one out of the water longer on a tunnel hull. Just be careful when you start dropping the carp that you don't develop carpal tunnel syndrome.

Re: tohatsu blender

According to the factory service manual, "It is recommended that only bass of less than 1kg be dropped on the prop as the many bones in carp may cause severe damage to the prop. This type of damage is not covered by your warranty." (pg 82).

So I guess the engineers tested this theory already. But I wonder if Japanese carp are different than US carp.

I think Japanese carp has a higher percentage of rice in it. American carp usually has a much higher beef content. I may be dyslexic.

How can you spot a dyslexic, agnostic insomniac? He's the guy who stays up all night wondering if there is a dog.

Has anyone ever heard about that mysterious creature known as dog carp? I think that dog carp, dropped onto a moving Tohatsu propeller, would be a little more messy....Obviously more smelly as well.

I think McDonalds uses this technique for their "Filet-O-Fish" sandwich!

The local lake was choked with carp. Commercial fishermen came and netted tons of them. One semi-trailer that hauled the fish away said Burger King on the sides. With the oil removed, the meat is quite nice and takes-on added flavors readily. Look for Minced Fish and White Fish in the ingredients. You'd be astounded at the amount of Carp you've consumed over the years.

After they were mostly netted out, the DNR was killing them off by depleting the oxygen from the water where they gathered. The lake lake was littered with floating carp. The smell was overwhelming. Wind blew a big pile to one corner of the lake and they scooped them out and gave them to farmers. The local news had film of a manure spreader chopping and flinging chunks of carp into a field. God, it was Beautiful! :D
