my 1 yr old motor have worked perfectly up to a couple of days ago. first sign of prob occured when i was returning back home and all of a sudden the engine dropped revs. i stopped, topped up the oil coz it was giving me a signal, started and go with no probs. Then the day after i went out again, when i revved up to 4000 revs the motor was acting erratically. i stopped and checked the filters. they both had dirt in them so i cleaned them and off i went in again slowly 2000 revs. yesterday i attatched my clean spare tank and i clean fuel line to the engine and cleaned the engine filter again but to my dismay the same happened. To make it worse i couldn't even start the engine but found a nice guy and towed me in. anyone had similar experiences? iam waiting for the authorized mechanic but in the meantime im confused on what could have happened. could the injectors be dirty? and is it normal that the manual fuel pump tightens up like a vacuum?

My best advice is to wait for that tech. You have a warranty and you don't want to make anything worse. Chances are the engine sensor suite has detected a malfunction somewhere (or thinks it has) and is trying to keep you from damaging the engine. The tech will be able to run the diagnostic routine and determine the problem. The only thing you should ever touch on that engine would be the spark plugs, filters, water pump, and gear oil.

hey elvin, prob solved. it only turned out that there was no air in the old fuel tank coz the air pipe was full of petrol and the new tank had a fault in the fuel fitting so nothing big. thanks for your help.
