Tohatsu 9.9 to 15 conversion

Can anyone tel me the exact parts I need and how to do the 9.9 to 15 conversion this is my first boat and I was told this is something you can do pretty easily ik it is a 9.9 b2 355a can anyone tell me the steps as well as links to what I need thanks

First you will need the parts lists for both Engines, Next you will need to go through each, line by line and see what is different. The Areas to check will be, Powerhead, Induction system, and Exhaust Systems, also there may be differences to parts of the Throttle Linkages

If successful, it will gain you 2, maybe 3 mph on a small car topper

You change the throttle cam.

Beside the throttle cam will need an increase in the timing advance. More fuel intake needs more time advance. Newer 15 HP D2 versions runs with 25 deg time advance. Your oldie model version surely with 20-22 setting. A matter to check the tech specs for your oldie model if someone happens to have it handy.
