Tohatsu 9.8 No Spark-- Help ?

A friend asked me to take a look at his 9.8hp ,2010 Tohatsu. This motor is a remote version with the electric start. I cleaned the carb for him and now want to test it. However there is no spark. Something got disconnected when the remote harness was unplugged. Any ideas ? The kill switch(on the motor) is disconnected as the remote has it's own kill switch. Thanks for any help.

The engine may still be under warranty and should probably be turned over to a dealer for troubleshooting. Also, who did the original engine installation? The wires are all color coded so hooking everything back up should be effortless. If it is anything other than than plugging in a wire you have to have a service manual to get the test procedures and specs for the ignition system.

Yep. Probably missed a connector. If it's beyond that, have it looked at by a dealer -- probably is still under warranty.
