Tohatsu 9.8 alternator

I aquired a 2006 Tohatsu model # MFS9.8A3 serial # 036993xe. I would like to know if it has a usable alternator on it. It has what appears to be an alternator wireing harness under the cover. Thanks.

The manual start engines are not supposed to have an alternator wiring harness on them.
