If you have trouble with stalling of a Tohatsu 8HP. In my case especially at Idle or low speed I suggest changing your fuel to 89 octane. I struggled with additives, marine fueling, tune ups etc until a friend suggested his solution to use 89 instead. Since then the darn thing neve stalls and takes only one full pull to start after a Winter on the hard on the shore of Lake Erie.
