tohatsu 50hp

2000 50 hp tohatsu, keeps blowing fuses. it started when i changed the throttle cables, it doesnt look like a pinched a wire the wires look fine. i have nothing else hooked up to it no lights or nothing.
any suggestions

There's a short for sure. What is your model? Does it blow the fuse instantly, with everything off? Or does it start and run, and then pop the fuse? Does the fuse pop if you have the harness to the RC disconnected?

It was doing it instantly I had cheap gas station fuses and I got some better ones and they last longer itstarts and runs but it won't start back up. it seems like to me its in the control box but the wires seem fine. Could it be the connection to the battery. m50d

What ampere rating fuse are you using? The biggest power draw should be the starter, so if it works for that, you should be OK.

Unless of course, somehow, you are charging at a rate higher than the fuse would allow, which would be very odd.
