For the first 2 seasons, I ran the Pennzoil 100% Synthetic. I ran through 14 pints in a season- I run wide open to fishing areas then troll all day- 8-12 hours probably every week. Obviously, there is a variable oil ratio with increased consumption the higher the RPM. Unfortunately, the closest I can estimate is a pint every 2 weeks for me. Obviously, everyone's use is different and their mileage will vary. Like Elvin said, it just depends on your RPM's. Off the cuff, I would say that it has slightly better oil economy than I have found with previous outboards- But it isn't a dramatic difference.
