Does anyone know if theres any advantage of tohatsu 3cyl over the 2cyl. I would rather the light weight of the twin however i suspect i would get more power from the 3 cyl. Im concerned the twin may cease production soon as its been around for a while and seems outdated in comparison. Any reliability issues with either??? Thanks again...

Jason123, Im sure not an expert on these motors but first There is Tohatsu relation with
Nisson or Yamaha Something like Tohatsu makes motors for one of them or the other way around.
But the first thing I would consider is parts
and service, then performance.
Generally speaking it is felt the larger motor
will do better out of the hole and lugging a load around but it depends on the amount of difference.
Unless you have a good strong dealer right under your nose I wouldnt consider the Tohatsu.
I dont have a clue about their reliability
but a motor is no better than the dealer support
they have behind them.
